Over at Public Policy Polling Tom Jensen is comfortable with where President Obama is in the polls because “His approval rating with liberal Democrats is 95%”. I don’t know if I would hang my hat on that. In his own national survey the breakdown is:

moderate, or conservative? If liberal, press 1. If
moderate, press 2. If conservative, press 3.
Liberal ……………………………………………………. 18%
Moderate………………………………………………… 41%
Conservative…………………………………………… 41%
If I was looking for hope it would not be that I was VERY popular among a small percentage of voters while the rest of the voters sour on me. When you have 95% support from any group there is only one way you can go – and is not up.
