Here comes the re-match. Republican Pat McCrory told the Associated Press in an interview he will run for Governor.
“McCrory told The Associated Press in an interview Monday he’s “100 percent committed” to seek the Republican nomination for governor…”
If nominated that would put him in a head to head re-match with Gov. Bev Perdue. She won by a narrow margin in 2008 and polls show President Obama could have trouble carrying North Carolina again. Obama’s coat tails are getting shorter.
McCrory has said before he would make an official announment about his candidacy after the first of the year but AP interview is a clear sign McCrory will be in the race again.
