Ok, long title. BUT, what is happening in the left leaning movement to destroy the free market via Climate Change just gets worse. ClimateGate was bad, GlacierGate made things worse, but now our own tax dollars have been the undoing at NASA. The sheer volume of information coming out about the prevalence of falsified, withheld or simply inaccurate data is astounding.
NASA was able to put a man on the moon, but the space agency can’t tell you what the temperature was when it did. By its own admission, NASA’s temperature records are in even worse shape than the besmirched Climate-gate data. E-mail messages obtained by a Freedom of Information Act request reveal that NASA concluded that its own climate findings were inferior to those maintained by both the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) — the scandalized source of the leaked Climate-gate e-mails — and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climatic Data Center.
I still think that NC legislative leaders should call for the immediate repeal of Senate Bill 3 which raised utility prices for all of North Carolinians under the auspices that it would fix Global Warming. (It forces all of us to pay higher prices for renewable energy we don’t need.) We are paying for the mistake every day and it’s costing us jobs in our state. Clearly more flawed data used by the NC General Assembly should be reviewed.
NASA’s temperature data is worse than the Climate-gate temperature data. According to NASA,” wrote Christopher Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute who uncovered the e-mails. Horner is skeptical of NCDC’s data as well, stating plainly: “Three out of the four temperature data sets stink.”
