Some North Carolina counties are stepping up to the plate in their support of voter ID. County Commissioners in Rowan and Craven counties passed resolutions in support of local bills that would allow them to require voter ID at the polls. This move will enable local legislative delegations to request bills to apply to their counties. According to this News and Observer article other counties that have or are considering the similar resolutions are Lincoln, Davidson and Gaston counties.
