NC charter schools: changes coming?

How good is North Carolina’s charter school law? Not very.  That according to the Center for  Education Reform which gives the Tar Heel state a “D”  in a new report on charter schools laws.  The state’s cap on the number of charter schools (100) and funding inequities between charter schools and traditional public schools help to explain the low grade.  

 With new charter-friendly majorities in the House and Senate, there is a good chance the General Assembly will act to correct some of these shortcomings. To learn more click here.
